You will either love or hate each part of this game.
Graphically its the 2006 version of AoE II, which is not that good anymore. 2d units have since there glory days come and go.
However this game does do alot of things that have been already done an million times before, except the period. I love the fact that its a historical RTS that does not follow the Romans or WWII, but rather the Civil War period to included the Texas Independence.
I only hope that some one else does a game like this using a game engine designed in the 21th century next time. Also some one needs to let the designers know that the old school overly micro mangerment RTS is a lost art even AoE III streamlined there system a bit.
The truely biggest disapointment of DN is the fact that is really nothing more that an a overly priced mod of FB with some better pathfinding abilities for you men. the scale is no bigger than the EW mod that Gex's had made for it, which allows you to play the Napoleonic wars, but his is free and theirs is 30 dollars.
