Best Bargain Bin Purchase EVER

User Rating: 9.5 | Amber: Journeys Beyond PC
This is probably my favorite PC game, closely followed by Return to Ravenhurst and 7th Guest. I bought this in the bargain bin at my local Staples store, since nothing I want is out yet for DS. At first I was confused, thinking that it was on the Myst level, but I was heavily immersed by bedtime, and had to turn my light on after a VCR sequence frightened me half to death! I'm not a big fan of the "blood & gore" horror games/movies/books, instead I prefer the "psychological" (SP?) thrillers. The last time something scared me this much was finishing Salem's Lot @ 2:30 in the am- and called my BF to come over cuz I was scared to go to sleep!
Being an older game, the graphics might seem old school, but I never really noticed, because I was so into the storyline. This is a point & click classic in my opinion, and relies on the gamer to figure out what needs to be done. Also this took a while and a lot of thought, so instead of the 5 hr avg I have with these types of games, I got a good 10/15 hrs the first time around.
Regardless of it's age, this was the best $5.99 I ever spent on a PC game, and even today I would pay full price. If anyone is into Redrum or the Ravenhurst pc games, I strongly suggest picking up this gem- if you can find it.
