This game was such a genuine challenge, i found myself gleaming with pride whenever i progressed

Not to say that the game was the most insanely difficult game I ever played, but the game had its fair share of challenges, and I found myself consistently compelled to tackle them and progress the games very neatly confined story.

The game was an action RPG that took place within primarily one village, a format that I seldom got to enjoy. Although the plot overall was straightforward your constant evolution and interaction with these same villagers left for some good character development within the story, and I enjoyed a chance for the plot to unfold in that matter, as you constantly traversed back and forth from the same village.

Each dungeon did have its fair share of complex puzzles as I mentioned, but they were very cleverly designed, so if you kept pushing yourself to solve them, they would get solved, and it was ultimately very satisfying.

The gameplay mechanics were not all to complex, somewhat like a Zelda game, you had some basic moves, and some things that you learned as you progressed and beat bosses.

I had a lot of fun with this game, as Working Designs really had a lot of class and taste, which I consistently trusted.

After this games great success I was tempted to be Alundra 2, but as I noticed the Working Designs treatment and label was absent from the package I avoided it, only to find out it was borne from lesser developers with a lesser mold of quality.

I attribute the quality of this game not just to be within the well constructed gameplay and story itself, but the excellent localization and packaging that Working Designs conducted therein.

*on a sidenote, i took enough pride in this game to make the gamespace banner for it ;)
