Great game for those who like strategic thinking and World War 2.

After putting this game away for several years I just took it out again. Its pretty addicting once you get going, losing sleep over whats going to happen to your P-38 on the next turn. It's very much a "just-one-more-turn" kind of game where you find it hard to stop playing.

Theres no "action" in the game and its pretty much a chess match; with armed pieces. The hard part of the game is getting it done on the number of turns you're given, theres no "turtling" in this game, you may have to throw some units to the lions.

Maybe the worst part of the game is with graphics. While zoomed out to see most of the map all units are icons; tanks, infantry, artillary etc. In order to see the deatil of the units (which are pretty good) you need to zoom in far enough that the map becomes too small to see all around you.

The consequences of some of your moves may not be known for some time so give it a lot of though. Its a good idea to save the battle before it starts and use a second save for you progress in case you want to start it all over.
