it's a great game! when it works. the gameplay is solid, it's an MMOFPS, so it's all online, meaning no dummy AI to gripe about (almost all AI are against you when existent) and it's slightly reminiscent of the good Call Of Duty games multiplayer. there's some customization for every part of your weapons, though not a lot of options (likely to be added in a future update) and you have to work your way up the levels to unlock more powerful variants (though you get an AK from first level) there's a 3-class system you can fully customize the loadouts for, (within some limitations, snipers can't have SMG's ETC) alternatively you can acquire any of their weapons from level 1 by purchasing them with real money
it dosn't quite FEEL like an MMO, simply because the lack of aesthetic customization options, and that the more unique items which actually change appearance you have to buy with real money, and there arn't many of them, but more should be coming in a future update
now to the negative. and it's one BIG negative. the game has a weird bug that causes it to randomly notify the player "Lost connection to server, exiting in 20 seconds' then crashing the game usually giving a *.ERL file in the GameGuard folder error. this randomly disappears allowing for gameplay up to a few hours. otherwise you can only really play a match and a half at best before crashing... VERY aggravating and makes it nigh unplayable
Graphics: stellar
Gameplay: great
Reliability (bugs, glitches, hackers, things that make the game crash, ETC): REALLY aggravating (practically NO hackers though)
Buy/Rent/Pass: it's a free to play MMOFPS with no purchase cost. so it's TECHNICALLY not buy, but get it anyway

Alliance of Valiant Arms combines intense game play with more realistic ballistic performance, but still falls short.
