Aliens vs Predator is a assorted bag of pure gore, awkward controls, and plain fun!

ALIENS VS. PREDATOR REVIEW (FOR PLAYSTATION 3 AND XBOX 360):

Aliens vs. Predator (A.V.P.) is a very gruesome game (in a good way!), and it is overloaded with over-the-top gore and pure violence, which, for me, makes a brilliant game! However, there are a lot, but unnoticeable bugs and glitches, which, after a while, begin to drag the game down.

You can play all 3 species, Alien (brilliant to play due the more up-close-and-personal kills), Predator (which is great to play as, thanks to all their advanced arsenal), and the puny, little Marines (which gives the game the darker, and more spooky side). I, personally, prefer to play as an Alien because of the 'Harvest' attack, which is where you either come up in front of or behind an unarmed human and press the the indicated button, from there you push the defenseless human onto the floor and allow your fellow Face-Huggers to latch onto the poor, little human's face! Awesome!!!!

Good:

1. 'Harvest' attack (Alien) (see above paragraph) is brilliant!!

2. Being able to stand behind your enemies in a cloak (Predator) is fantastic!

3. The Marine Corps gameplay is horribly scary! Every time you hear a noise you just have to turn around as fast as you possibly can!

4. Watching baby aliens come out of a human's chest is both gory and satisfying!

5. When you play as a Predator, you can rip the head and spine out of a human's body and stroke it, all whilst making that weird, throaty sound that only Predators can make!

6. As an Alien, you can do the horrible, evil hiss to lure your stupid enemies in!

7. The story-line is all tied together using the missions from both species. I recommend that you play as the Alien first, then the Predator, and, lastly, the Marines.

8. The environment is varied and consists of a jungle, buildings, spaceships, vent shafts, and many more.

9. The online multiplayer maps and modes are all fantastic, and will add enjoyable hours onto your A.V.P. gaming experience!

Now, there are some bad bits to this game, which I will talk about now:

1. When you play as an Alien, the controls to move from one surface to another is annoyingly awkward!

2. When you play as a Marine, they could at least give you the chance to pick up weapons and ammo from your fallen friends!

3. The graphical detail involved with the environments and some characters, especially Mr. Weyland (who should be dead anyway), is quite poor for a game made in 2010!

4. The flashlight (Marine) is pathetically dim and it isn't even that much help!

5. Sometimes you can get caught on the smallest of objects and get stuck, you can't even jump over them!

6. The story-line is really short! I completed 43% of the game after just an hour and ten minutes (approx.) of play!

Thank you for reading my review of Aliens vs. Predator and I recommend this game to anyone who loves violence, blood, and great multiplayer maps/modes!
