While people have their opinions in different places, mine is that of the game is a reminiscent of its old counterparts and that it is something you have to willingly go in and want to enjoy just as much as the classic ones. AvP one was good and AvP two was just as good, as for the recycled maps that gamespot has noted to it...didn't the old ones do the same? On the another note, the Marine campaign was almost the same but I always enjoy being the Colonial Marines and had fun as I mowed down Aliens and ran for my life. As the alien, sure the who experience of being upside down and what not is weird and sometimes awkward as your trying to kill but the movement was the same. As the Predator I was a fan of the movies and I proceeded in just killing anyone that stood in my way. People expected something I don't think they were ever going to get with this game, people expect too much from this game because of it's predecessors which is reasonable but you have to remember what was great about the old games and visualize it in the new one. You still get to go around terrorizing humans as the Aliens, still get trophy kills being a predator, and you still get to crap your pants as a Marine. Like I said before I don't know what some people were expecting but if you were expecting just another AvP with brutal killing, multiplayer, and the three campaigns...then this is the game.
