I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the whole temple story either. I just mean that some fans might be a little disappointed not to be getting a completely different story.

What i mean JimmeCata is that the 1st AvP movie has the Humans finding a predator temple where they wake up Aliens, and Predators have to intervene to stop them. The game seems to have cut and paste the same story. I am not saying that it is EXACTLY 100% the same, it's just following pretty much the same story.

Sounds like the game setting is similar to the AvP Movie, but set on another planet and in the future.

The first AvP on PC (not the Atari Jaguar one, which hardly counts) was absolutely awesome. AvP 2 and it's expansion didn't even come close, in AvP1 and it's expansion Aliens were actually deadly with that tail whip, the levels were astounding, and the Marines played great in squads. I hope the new AVP is more like the first one and less like the second one, mainly in terms of level design, but also in terms of Alien lethality. In AVP 2 Aliens kind of sucked, the levels had fewer places accessable only to them, fewer places to cling to the wall and blend into the darkness, and the tail whip sucked.

Are you guys all forgetting the original AvP on the Atari Jaguar? That's what started the series, the PC games came later...

Umm..is it just me..or did he just say he's not trying to go "the way of the AVP" movies..but didn't the first AVP take place in...a TEMPLE..in the north pole or something? A temple where predators hunted aliens...this game sounds kinds familiar to me..however I still look forward to it Also looking forward to Robert Rodriguez's Predetors movie

I saw Alien at the movies in 1979 . Then I saw Aliens and predator in 1986 . The whole idea of Aliens and predator having anything to do with each other was by implication in predator two right at the end . The Alien vs predator game was about 1997 . Then came the movies . I remember saying to the bloke that I went to see predator with " I would rather be fighting against a few aliens than one of those things / the predator that is . I say the difference and my observation in 1986 was that Aliens though being instinctive in nature the predator is downwright crafty .

I like the storyline and game enviroment and set in the future . The Avp movie should have been something like that . I like the idea of walls and doors opening and closing . Don't get lost now !

when ever a game tries to set any part of it in the jungle it never seems to work....

I'm rather curious as to what gameplay as an Alien would be like. My experience of 1st person melee in shooting games so far has not been particularly good.

I used to love this game on PC. It was one of the scariest games i have ever played playing as marine!!!! I hope they get the fear factor right in this. It was amazing playing as predator too because you felt so superpowered :) I could never even get out of the start temple on alien tho... 3 Very different experiences in one game!! Exciting

Finally !! I really enjoyed the first and second avp on PC and I've been waiting long time for this moment hope this game won't be dissappointment !!!!

As long as Paul W.S. Anderson, or any other tool from Hollywood, didn't put their two cents in... I think we'll be just alllllllll right.

alien and predator movies came first then AVP games then AVP movies

actually this is a remake of the AVP from pc, n the movies dint came first

yeah, im pretty sure the movies came first.... or at least aliens did, if not the avp movies.

Damn it!!! OK, lets get this straight, they took the AVP games (which had no story), made movies out of them (with an even worse story), then made the new games after the movies!!! Lets just hope the game play and multiplayer saves the lack of a good story (like AVP 2).

I really liked the Alien vs Predator games and probably will buy this game too. lol that guy in the video sure looks like he's in a rush or something he talks pretty fast. :P

First off, StealthUS1, what graphics? they show us nothing, just allot of talk. Second off, the ideea is really non inspired, it's just a rip off. Temple with aliens where pred. train? seen that in the avp movie! Creepy aliens, hi-tech marines and thermal vision? seen that in the last 2 avp games! Smart gun, flame thrower?Are you sure this is not the presentation for the old avps? it will be nice for those on xbox and psp but I really doubt it will bring anything new to the pc. Maybe some better graphics..

It wouldn't be nearly as good if it wasn't an FPS. The other 2 were some of the greatest games ever made. PERIOD. And they wouldn't have been nearly as good had they not been FPS. That kind of gameplay sucks the player in, nothing was more claustrophobic than running down one of those dark hallways with the static lights only too see a group of Aliens scurrying towards you along the roof as your smartgun scrambles to keep up. Some of the best moments in gaming...and this is coming from, more or less, a person who rarely plays games.

people who say they don't like it FPS haven't played the last two. i really don't mess this up as AvP2 was my personal fav of all the FPS out there, there really isn't anything like it out here.

This feels like its one of those rushed games, using a popular title hoping it will sell quickly. I don't want to sound pessimistic though, as I hope this can be a good title to add to my collection. I'm anxious to see some gameplay footage, hopefully something will make this game stand out, apart from the title/series..
