Sadly disappointing...I was really looking forward to this game and it's got the graphic chops of an instant hit but..

...it plays like a dog! Gamespot pretty much nailed it in their review. It's just not that fun to control any of the characters. It has some cool scenes and tension but the little things just overwhelm it like invisible barriers and stupid control schemes. It almost feels like a rail shooter if you remember them. The marines is the best as far as story but the weapons suck against even the face huggers and that 10mm caseless automatic machine gun feels like your spit shooting at the aliens. I won't even go into the ridiculous wall running of the alien which they did right in the original games...go figure.
Bottom line it just feels sloppy and uninspired. Maybe with some major patches that fix the controls and some of the maps it will be playable but until then I'd rent it or wait til it shows up on the 20$ rack. Well back to Bioshock 2 and Mass effect 2.
