Uh.......no. This 2010 crap had you constantly being cut off from marines. There were no characters to care about except for Tequila. I do not remember any part of James Cameron's film where everyone went off on their own. They all worked together until the entire unit was left to nothing.

I do not remember anywhere in Aliens when the marines end up fighting generic, bland robots like this crap. Where are the bits in the film where they go through generic, boring temples with alien & predator statues?

The 2000 game was good in its time, but it had no story, you had no marines with you. Horrible motion tracker & wrong weapon sounds, & it just got WAY too hard for its own good. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes when things get too hard it ruins the fun. I'm mainly talking about that Tyrago level or whatever its called (the Sulaco one).

Not to mention, since they worked on the Aliens Vs Predator cross over, they don't care for the original films. This AvP concept was nothing more than a huge dump all over Alien & Aliens. These games just add to that. I think Predator is one of the worst movies of the 80's. Its got none of the artistic value of Alien, & it is only remembered because of nostalgia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, & a creature design by Stan Winston. It is NOT very well made, it is extremely cheesy, boring, & absolutely worthless as a film.

This idiotic concept just reduced H. R. Giger's terrifying monster into some cheap, comic book dork villain that gets blown to bits. Its this sort of crap that people accuse James Cameron's film of being, & its unfortunate that this film gets lumped in with the garbage.

Infestation was an awesome mode, but one of the problems is there weren't many levels based on the good films (Alien & Aliens). Not all of the DLC for Colonial Marines has been announced, so there could be a variation of this mode coming.

If it isn't DLC, then Escape & Survivor are still really fun games. The rest of the modes in AvP are ruined by the inclusion of the Predator. Also, if Rebellion did CM, it is extremely unlikely they would have gotten some of the actors likenesses to be playable online.

This is one of my favourite things. I've always dreamed about an Aliens game where I could play as the movie characters. I have had a lot of fun playing as Hudson & constantly pressing the taunt button for his one liners, lol.

One thing I'll mention is people keep complaining CM isn't scary. Well, I played it on ultimate badass mode on my first play through & lurkers always freaked me out, & the entire sewers section was really freaky intense. Also, I think being able to play as the aliens in past AvP games helps lessen their scare factor. So you can thank Rebellion for that.

Not to mention, the creature was overly exposed in garbage comic books as well. Its hard to be scared by something thats been turned into comic book dork crap for years & years. I'm not talking about all comic book fans, but the idea to combine Alien with a piece of crap clearly was done by a dork like that comic book guy from Simpsons.

I haven't seen all the issues people claim are in Colonial Marines. Yes, I have seen problems, but nothing that warrants it as "worst game ever" like everyone says. And the fact that it is a stand alone Aliens game, regardless of quality, is enough for it to be superior to ANY AvP trash.
