You know the Aliens and Predators? Those famous sci-fi alien creatures? Well, they cross path yet again. Aliens Versus Predator: Extinction is a game based on those very monsters...with some marines thrown in for good measure. This a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game. You play as either the Aliens, Predators or Marines. Each group plays the same, but they have a few differances from each of them. What makes them different is the little details they have. The marines make credits by fixing "Atmos", the Aliens make infestation points by imprenating comatose bodies, the Predators gain honor points by collecting skulls, i.e. pulling a skull out of a dead coprse, and all of the groups gain credits/points by killing enemies. What's intresting about the Aliens in paticular is that they use "facehuggers" to impregnate enemies to make more Aliens. The real downside to this game is that other than the campaign, there's nothing much to do.
The graphics are alright, but seem outdated. At least the blood and slime look good. The sound is much better. From the screeches of the Aliens, to the roar of the Predators, to the sound of a skull being ripped off, it's all good.
If you are a fan of the Aliens Versus Predator universe, you will like this game.
