If you love the thrill of fighting off the xenomorph horde then you might want to play another game in the series!!!

I love the aliens don't get me wrong but I'm not going to sugarcoat this awful game. More or less play Metal Slug DS and you will get the very same experience. It really sucks. I know it's a DS game but come on. If the graphics for Aliens vs. Predator arcade (1994 release) looks better then a 2011 game I don't know what to tell you. And just look at this Spoiler alert Warning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0NXqRopYmU the last fight is surprise against the queen xenomorph. Surprise again this battle is not what you think at all. Instead of an epic battle of survival with the biggest and nastiest of the xenomorph what does she do? She jumps O_O she's not a half baked kangaroo she's the bloody queen xenomorph!!! Spoiler alert Warning over. Another issue is the quote on quote of fighting the xenomorphs. Rise of hands of what they do best. That's right they are very sneaky. Well you won't find that here either. Clean a room once and guess what you will know what to expect the next time you enter that very same room. Yep the enemies do not randomly spawn at all!!! It would have been nice to see the aliens actully stalking you through out the place. And the fact that in one stage there are literally people in eye shot of the aliens just screams that something is wrong here. And before I get a nasty reply or something I do like some aspects of this game. The fact that your marines can and do indeed die was a very nice touch. They can be (though I have not seen this) dragged off to the nest and if you're not fast enough will be impregnated by a facehugger. A death I did see was when one of my men got hugged and a few minutes a chestbuster was born. But this does not fix this game short comings and it has a lot of problems. If you are an old school Aliens fan this game will surely piss you off. If you are just entering the series this may be fun for you. Like I said earlier it's like playing a flashy Metal Slug that of course has aliens. My verdict rent it or if you must by this game get it used at GameStop. That way after you find out how crappy it is you can return it and get your money back.
