the only alien game in the series that was actually any good was the one for the arcade....and that was a 2d side scroll fighter...big shoes to fill indeed....

I have I hopes for this game. I think the Multiplayer will make, or break this game.

When Aliens came out I was like 7 or 8. I watched it like 3 times in the same day. And I didn't sleep for 3 months, I was scared shitless. This brings back memories.

This looks like it might be the first Aliens game to live up to the standard set by the movies. That's not to say i didn't enjoy previous Aliens games, but they just didn't quite live up to the standards of the movies. Consider me excited :)

Just went and bought Aliens on Blu-Ray. This better be good and epic and not like that bull crap Aliens vs Predator game.

As a fan of the movie I really hope this game doesn't turn out like that AVP game, boy was that crap. If we could have some terror and suspense in the game play that would be sweet.

Timegate is doing a lot of work on the game. Few things to bear in mind. This is a teaser - not a trailer (as they called it). Teasers are meant to peak interest - not to show gameplay. Also, some people think this game has been in constant development for years. It hasn't. Things get announced, sometimes shelved. Studios then revive the project down the road. Just because this was announced in like 2004 doesn't mean it's been worked on for 8yrs.

Don't get me wrong, i'm totally hopeful that this game will be awesome, (Hell who am i kidding, i'll probably wind up getting it even if it gets poor reviews....) but that trailer was lame as hell... Slow dramatic panning BS is not how you make an Aliens trailer.

I hope Gearbox does a good job so far not many devs that get a hold of this franchise tend to kill it. I just hope the loose ends gets tied up nicely. For those who don't know Hadley's Hope should have been leveled, and as far as we know radiation is still lethal to humans. Will be interesting to see the story on this one.

Now, I know this isnt gameplay, but my concern is with all the gameplay videos that were shown, there is STILL no aiming down the sights. WTF, are you kidding me, after all the backlash from the Aliens VS Predetor game which screwed that game up without the ability to aim down the sights, you would think they didnt want to make the same mistakes as that game. Im pretty sure Marines in the future know their accuracy is better when they aim. Please, dont screw up yet another Aliens game buy leaving out the most fundamental part of a shooter...
