1 Like Aliens need to kill the player and npcs in one swing or one hit of their inner mouth otherwise they are not real Aliens.
They better not make Multiplayer like call of duty either.
2 Like bro I really hope it comes out great, but I think Gearbox might not have been the best studio to pick this up. Lets just hope I'm wrong because there's soo much potential here.

This doesn't look scary at all, it looks like an action game.

The ONLY way this could work would be if it was matchmaking with new players each round/map/chapter/stage/whatever, so that you don't know the other guys and feel isolated.
Also, why IS there a melee button anyway? No way in hell you could push a xenomorph away, it would be more scary if the aliens almost killed you in a second in melee.
i dont want them to mess this up if they do im sure aliens will be put off the market for a long time n we will forget about this franchise its time we make a comback!!
@theOmegaCloud ummm actually, pulse rifles which appeared in aliens, they killed over 100 aliens no problem. It was the first movie in which it was difficult to kill the xenomorph, mostly because they didn't have weapons. so no, the aliens are not that hard to kill.
Do a good pc game with at least 40 players in multiplayer. That is all I ask and stop deleting my message gamespot.

This looks brilliant, but so did Duke Nukem before it came out. Let's hope they don't stuff this up like they did with Duke Nukem.
It feels like Gearbox is taking away some of the Alines speed, power, intelligence, and damage absorption. In the movies it's way harder to kill them causing a real fear when encountering one.
I think this game will get an 8 as top, cause as far as I have seen, aliens do not react to gun fire but when they die. As the gameplay goes, the guy shoots an enemy and it just keeps going towards to you, an alien like in the movies should jump from one wall to the ceiling or to the other wall. Another things that bothers me is the AI, watch at 6:33 as your teammate simply goes straight to the alien horde with a pistol and gets killed, instead of stepping back where you are. I mean come on it's 2012! things like that shouldn't be there anymore
This game looks like it is in good shape. I know weve waited for a long time for this but I think it was better we waited, would you rather waste money buying a game that sucks horribly on a franchise you love so much and anticipated so highly or would you wait for this game to come ouit and win best game of 2012? I honestly believe they got it right this time. Just a few more fixes and we are ready to "Lock and load people"
if they give us a Sigorny Weaver Easter egg I will buy this game even if its bad XD. Ridley
go gearbox. please make this as cool, awesome and as meaty and worth every darn penny as borderlands was. i remember having facehugger nightmares for weeks when i watched the first 2 movies as a little kid. i hope the sequel game makes the same impact as the movies did during their time

is the co-op just online or splitscreen aswell as that would be great also ,getting some of your mates over on the same xbox would be cool
I like how tough the aliens are, your not just dropping them with a few rounds you have to actually coordinate and concentrate your fire to effectively take a Xeno down which is awesome.
This game is canon? If it is a tremendously awesome game, then yes. If it is anything below that, then no, it will removed from the canon, like a damaged child is removed from its abusive parents.
theres gonna be alot of pissed off people if they mess this up. including me. this looks amazing and i think that they got the pulse rifle sounds perfectly. i really hope this works out awesomely. alien and aliens are both in my top 5 movies of all time (not that crappy avp crappy crap movies).
nothing more dread then in aliens vs predator 2 when you see your radar with movement headed your way......aliens 2 messed up most of my childhood cause my last name was hicks lol....then when the 3d one came out....they where like hahahhah you drowned lol
Looks really good but I don't like the animations, look quite wooden, the Xeno's movement and the melee, the pulse rifle and motion tracker noises are spot on I love those, very iconic. I hope there's some of the classic quotes from the films in the game somewhere aswell like "Game over man, game over, what the f*** are we gonna do now? what are we gonna do?!" and "how do I get outta this chicken s*** outfit?" =P I just hope if there's alot of dialogue it's not over the top and 'cliche'. I'm really glad that old derelict ship from the Alien director's cut is gonna be in the game, I hope it explains it because I always wondered what that ship was and what it's about(was it transporting xeno eggs or was it just taken over or something).
Alien & Aliens were/are amazing films, the third & fourth films were not worthy of the title though. Lets hope that this game does the first two films justice.
This is one game that I think regardless of a review score, I'll be buying, unless it says it's impossible to play the game because there's a nasty bug at the beginning of the game that stops you from progressing. I love Alien/Aliens so much.
Have been waiting for this since it was announced YEARS ago! Have to say it looked a bit crap last time they showed it off, but it's looking much better now
I want it to scare the piss out of me. If the game fail to deliver it's true potential and disappoint me, well, I'll be really pissed. :P
ooooooooooooooooooo man i cant wait till this game comes out ive only been waiting for 5 years. I might be able to get scared just like when i was playing resident evil 1 2 and 3 many years ago please dont dissapoint with this game i hope its going too scare the living daylights out of me
