Loved the Alien movie franchise but the video games definitely lacked. This one looks pretty promising though. Hopefully they pull it off. Not bad so far...

make sure you put an online code with the game so people aren't tempted to buy it secondhand, oh and give exclusive content to Gamestop who make millions from secondhand game sales....go figure.

1 Like Absolutely love Aliens. Sadly every game based on it, right back to the early 80s 2600 and Speccy games have been dire. It's always amazed me how you can take something everyone loves, knowing theyll accept less cos they love the theme, and still not even make a "decent" game. They even managed it with Star Wars with the Jedi Knight games and Star Wars fans are impossible to please.
This game looks like Quake4. Weirdly proportioned, slightly cartoony looking characters, dodgy gameplay and what looks like an atrocious framerate. Would love to be proved wrong but frankly I'd rather have Borderlands 3 set in the Aliens universe than this iffy looking arcade fps thing.

I for one will purchase this game and give it a chance. I do wish they would slow down on the sneak peaks..the best parts of the game will be old news buy the time it comes out..as far as graphics, if the game is good, then I can handle not so top of the line graphics.How many games of today have the best graphics yet are terrible to play or the story is rubbish...Hell, I still occasionally replay AVP2 the original and love it to this day..
if they included aliens v predator 2 with upgraded graphics for the console editions it might be worth the new price.

2 Like Well, at least no-one can blame Gearbox for not trying hard to advertise this game. I've seen countless of diaries, trailers, ads and we still have 5 months for release date. I hope the game delives or Gearbox will face a huge sh*tstorm...
1 Like They are using the actors to sell more copies is all. This game can't stand on it's own as just a good game, it is going to stink when it comes out. It's a shame but it's true.There's something in every frame of every trailer where people go "wow i wish this or that was a bit different or a bit better". Nobody is impressed except fans of the movie and AvP games because it stinks.
Not ONE PERSON is impressed like people were impressed with a game like Watch Dogs wich only has one single video and barely even exists. The balls on these people to offer preordering on something on the quality level of a Half Life 2 MOD.
That one level in Half Life 2, Ravenholm, that's what this game is. The gameplay won't match up to that much fun either. Judging not only from this trailer of course but all the videos on gamespot.

1 Like Well I'm going to get this game and I might just get the collector's edition as well, because I am a huge fan of films and the Aliens was my Favorite in the whole movie series so yeah I'm looking forward to playing this game in February and it comes out 3 days after my Birthday.

@JumpyBinhead By the time they release it? It comes out in a month. The wii and its games outsold ps3 almost 2 to 1. Grapchcis dont mean everything.
