Looks good so far let's hope it will happen this time and not another later date and be a good game.

I'm a pretty big Aliens fan.. So naturally, I'm highly looking forward to this game.

Voice over on this video did seem a little forced though lol.

Graphically it looked very average, gameplay looked equally average, and the voice acting in no way sounded "badass", instead resembling to me someone with a serious constipation problem. I'll pass thanks.

@Claytonicus at first glance it may seem so, but IGN did a livestream of lots of gameplay and I must say I'm very excited. Gearbox took the time to put in tons of features into this game, and it looks very promising. It seems to be true to the original Alien, and Aliens films.

Graphically, the only way you can tell something is good or not is by actually playing. Video compression, and the fact that it's max 720p will not reproduce the game's graphical fidelity

I put 2000+ hours in L4D2, and I've been looking for a replacement for almost a year now. I think my game has come.

Nothing extraordinary, but it is Aliens.

Im guessing at best this one will be 5.5/10. Outdated graphics, terrible looking engine, and if the narration is any indication of the story and voice acting then it will be Duke Nukem esque cheesiness TO THE EXTREME... "Battling for the title of baddest Mutha-fers in the galaxy" says all I needed to hear. Sorry Gearbox, this one is a pass.

Well.............at 720p it was visually underwhelming.  And, the last AvP was pretty lame, and mo of duh same; not that that has anything to do with this game; still sets up a bad vibe for this one to me.

Its either going to pretty good, or pretty bad.  Either way I'm getting it, too much of a fan to pass it up.

It might be cheesy but I am still excited for this game.

"shows US Colonial Marines doing what they do best - kicking some Xenomorph ass."

Not really, what colonial marines do best, is just brag about how tough they are, then get nearly wiped out by the most superior lifeform in the universe, and hope that Ripley will save their asses.

That being said, i hope this game is great.

Holy shit that trailer was worse than the ones before, which makes me seriously worried about their QA department - Who gave the greenlight to release that ? (and will the same imbecile be in charge of giving the greenlight for the final game too ?)

Anyways, not that it matters too much, I'm not going to buy this linear "cinematic experience" with horrible AI anywhere around release day, but will be waiting for reviews and hands-on gameplay videos first, because it seems to follow the current "AAA" gaming industry trend of spending more money on marketing than actual development and simply abusing good franchises names to drag them through the dirt for quick cash grabs.

The previous trailers already showed horrible gameplay, stiff animations, abysmal AI and no interesting new game mechanics or technological advances.

Maybe (just maybe) I'll be trying this out in a year when it goes down to around 7,50 EUR, but only because I like the Aliens franchise and am somewhat curious to see what they've done with it (or to it), but only if it's DRM free and playable offline.

@bloody-hell I would say that Gearbox was being honest about their game here. Unlike a lot of trailers with pre-rendered sequences, it looks to be actual in-game footage (@ 720p so it looks crappy but 1080p footage looks better even though the compression still ruins it).

It's a steamworks title, so you can play it offline, but some consider steam itself to be it's own DRM, so I think you're out of luck when it comes to the majority of high budget titles. This is just the truth of the current state of the industry.

I would say getting this title @ around $10 USD, you'll probably have to wait about 2 years from release, and wait for a amazon, gmg, or steam sale.

My opinion however, is that this is not a quick cash grab. I watched a livestream on IGN of campaign, and multiplayer, and Gearbox put a ton of work into getting all the little details of the universe right in this game, as well as putting tons of customization features, proper steamworks support, and asymmetrical multiplayer, of which you do not see much of. The only good titles out there right now that are asymmetrical are L4D, and NS2.

2K has this habit of getting into this DLC season pass thing, which I'm not 100% in favor of, but it is to be seen whether or not the original title, and it's additional content is worth the release retail price.

I actually didn't mind the trailer haha. Shows the true nature of the Colonial Marine. "We're not just fighting for the  human race, we're fighting for the title of the baddest motherf****rs in the galaxy".

One ugly looking game.  Based on all of the trailers and previews I've seen it seems like this is going to be a game that only fans will enjoy/appreciate.

Just a heads up, everybody. Kotaku reported that Gearbox tweeted that the terrible voiceover in this ad is NOT in the actual game. This is just some really bad writing/acting made just for this trailer. I think the game looks like a lot of fun, but the voiceovers in these recent ads are pretty crappy and cheapen its appearance.

@BrickMcIronhard They didn't have to release this trailer shitty like this. Makes you wonder about the game now. My pre-order is paid in full. This looks more like a rent to beat the campaign and that's about it. Crysis 3 will probably get that 65 bucks now.

Terrible trailer!

My hopes for this game being good die a little with each piece of new footage.
