The Aliens: Colonial Marines gameplay demonstration is better than the actual final video game of Aliens: Colonial Marines with the exception of not being able to  aim.

I wish we could aim down the sights!!! What are the sights for if you cant aim down on those xenos.

I have high expectations for this one. Hopefully this will be everything that Alien 3 and 4 were not. I also hope they dont go overboard with the different alien types.

It seems to be the first one to nail it! Aliens rules!! The only question is, it will have different types of aliens? cause there is only few types of them...

It's a shame they don't do something more related to the first Alien movie with HR Giger's design and the creepy atmosphere. Aliens was always too loud and mindless for my liking.

So we can play the SP campaign in co op? What would happen at 5:14 for example?

Trailer shows acidic blood, but not in-game, wth? Graphics wise, it looks nice. At E3, he mentioned that the game will support 4 player co-op so that's awesome as well. The producer is a huge fan of Aliens so I will trust that he will come through with an awesome product for us fans. *crosses fingers*

I like the way it looks. Hopefully the acid will play a factor in how you fight them . I would think you'd want distance between you and them so acid doesn't spatter on you as you shoot them.

i thought it was kinda funny that for all the attention they paid to all the old alien movie details, they changed the sound of the iconic pulse rifle. still sounds good, just saying. and dear lord, dont tell me you added an iron sight to the pulse rifle without adding an aiming functionality x]

this will be my best game but the realease date is soooooo far !!! maybe october or december !!!!!!!!

just please, please, please dont be like alien vs predator i was so juiced for that game then it got a bad score and i pre-ordered it and everything.. but i took it back and got bioshock 2 :) so it all worked out... BUT please dont be an AVP or DNF

Please not too many scripted events... A few are fine. As long as it's less Call of Duty and more Dead Space, I'll be happy.

this looks really bad ass, all the detail and the action looks amazing. i hope they put that kind of effort into the story as well

@simon_es_hill How can you possibly say that a 7 or 8 isn't worth your playing time? It's a fallibility of any score system I suppose. But still, saying "OMG it's not a 9 or 10 - that's it!" is absurd.

@mwlizla I will still probably buy this game, but it will well after its been released. I am a huge fan of the Aliens series movies and games, so I will buy it for that reason also I so far Gearbox isn't a bad developer so I think they will do the series some justice. *crosses fingers*

The appearance is decent, and I like where the "plot" picks up at. Unfortunately though, the game appears WAY TOO SCRIPTED. I don't want to play a rail-shooter; where you are pushed from location to location encountering a mindless series of scripted situations. Games that follow that formula tend to have excessively weak plots, and action that is so scripted that the game holds absolutely no replay value at all. I can appreciate having "some" scripted events, as they can be used to build atmosphere, and advance the storyline; however I cannot stand games that reply excessively on scripted events as this one appears to (at least from this trailer). Which sucks, because I have wanted this game to be released for quite some time. I'm hoping that it only appeared so scripted because it was for a demonstration; and a presenter needs to know what is coming & when, so he/she can time their narrative. ......conversely, if the actual final product is this scripted, then it's going to be garbage filled with nothing more than a forced walkthrough of fanboy moments and nods. I sincerely hope that they give players a large degree of freedom. I don't expect a full-blown "Half-Life"-esque sandbox; but neither do I want to essentially watch an animated move where I occasionally press some buttons on the remote.

When was the last time SEGA published anything worthwhile? I honestly cannot remember? So far the FPS gameplay mechanics are just not blowing my skirt up and if it stays this way, I'm predicting a Gamespot rating of 7-8 which just isn't good enough for me to consider playing it. I really hope Gearbox can prove me wrong.

I hope it wont be one of those FPS with a 4 - 5 hours story and 4 - 5 coop missions that you get to know by heart after a few hours... The shotgun looks awesome, for me that the essential for a good FPS :-)

Why is Hadley's Hope still around..... A nuke the size of Nebraska didn't finish it off?, Where is the radiation? Too many questions.

this franchise has so many fans out here dying for a decent game ... will this finally be it??? because this is about the 3rd time around and most every other attempt has fallen short. i have my doubts and i'm afraid to get my hopes too high ...

WTF? Really bad console gameplay, aliens are too slow because of it. Aiming and moving is retarded too... Please take special care for pc version. Look at rage, port isn't good enough for pc...

Looks like it'll be a blast to play with friends if only to get my alien rocks off... yeah but I agree with omar, they gotta polish this up. Gearbox is still riding borderlands cred and after Duke... they are gonna have to impress. Here's to hoping they were working on this when they were supposed to be working on Duke!

Looks pretty intense... Mr. Pitchford loss some credibility with me though from all the false 'Duke Nuke Em' hype he put up a couple of months ago though. That game = not good. With this game they have to lockdown the shooting and movement mechanics to give good polish...
