Aliens:CM is like chewing gum. It tastes good at first then it becomes stale and you throw it away.

Aliens:CM should not be considered an Aliens game. Instead it should be viewed as a parody of Aliens, only then can you enjoy it for what it is.

PC Specific:

Decent port. Best looking version, which is not saying much. No mouse acceleration. Runs smooth with no frame rate issues. Can adjust FOV. Use DX10 mod for better visuals.

Story:

Lost interest in the story half way through. From what I recall it sucks and has gaping plot holes.

Gameplay:

Gunplay is decent. Aiming is precise and quick. Guns have 2 modes of attack.

Guns can be upgraded and customised but to unlock everything you need to play multiplayer.

Run-of-the-mill fps fare. Aliens usually run straight at you to be mowed down like cannon fodder. The human enemies actually caused me more problems which is hilarious. But both are really dumb.

Alien blood does not damage you but will only prevent your health from regenerating for a short while. Couple this with the fact that aliens can be meleed means they are more of an annoyance than the terrors of the Alien films.

Certain sections are badly designed and lead to cheap deaths and frustration.

However the level design is pretty open, with multiple avenues of approach.

Graphics:

Looks like a budget game. Stiff animations, people getting stuck in the terrain, oddities such as seeing your team-mates teleport infront of you.

Alien environments look pretty good though.

Faces look dead and very rigid. Reminds me of games from 5 years ago.

Value:

Not worth full price. Wait for at least 60% sale before purchasing. Unless you really like the multiplayer.

Conclusion:

A parody of Aliens. Fun for a while in a mindless sort of way. Definitely not the Aliens game we were promised.
