Tweaking the settings is key to making Aliens CM a fun and Epic game.It has it's flaws, but is still enjoyable.

Increasing the sensitivity of the right stick really helps in aiming and looking around. If Gearbox could loosen up the leadend left stick I would have no issue with the controls. How did this get past play testers? Perhaps it was done to create more tension like the early Resident Evil games did?The most important thing to do is increase the difficulty level.Ultimate Badass was perfect because it created much more dread and therefore more atmosphere.I'm having no issue with the graphics because they do the job of setting the right feel. The amount of detail in the interiors and most exteriors would have taken a long time to create. There's no way this looks like a PS2 or early PS3 game.I must say that the walk from the outside of Hadleys Hope to it's entrance was ugly as puke though! The sound and music is very good. The sound of the pulse rifle really draws me in! Hit detection is good and general gameplay and enemy AI is great on higher difficulty levels. All enemy types are capable of killing even highly skilled players. The weapons are powerful and you feel the impact of the bullets hitting your enemies.Weapon customization is very intelligently done. The story is better than I thought it would be and the AI buddies are more capable and likable than you might think.Coop was very smooth and lag free.No Halo 4 Spartan Ops lag from hell here.I haven't played multiplayer yet so can't comment.I rented the game and think this could be a great way to see if it works for you.I hope other Aliens fans can tweak the game to their liking and make this long wait mean something.I was expecting a real mess of a game after reading the reviews but found a classic instead. Gearbox.....Thank you and please patch the hell out of it!
