Update wiped all my data.

This happen to anyone else? really kind of sucks, glad I got all my challenges finished yesterday as it wiped them as well.
Got to redo all my marine rank now though, from 56 back to 1...

Is their a new update patch then? I wouldve expected any new update to fix this issue.
It happened to me a few weeks ago twice and was praying for a fix.

I've just read the list of patch fixes and there is no save game glitch fix, which I was hoping to be incuded as I want to re-start the campaign etc as I didn't finish it.

it is not the update, it is just a random glitch that happens in the game

no there is a problem where the save file isnt on the hdd and if there is any change to the cache be it a manual deletion (wich is the first thing microsoft support tells you to do in the event of any problems) or any change to your network settings... ect.. it more then likely will erase all progress..
however the new patch on the 7th auto erases all progress because apparently it updates your cache.. so you will no matter what lose everything all progress levels and stats when you update the mandatory patch. probably any future patch will do the same thing too.
its beyond ridiculous gearbox should be ashamed..

In my experience, i installed the game since first day, and updated the game and i didnt lost my save file and with this last one the sme. Guess i am lucky

I've had the game since release. I beat the campaign, and I completed all of the challenges. I have yet to have my data erased. The update didn't wipe my data either so idk what everyone is doing to get their data deleted.

So going off what people are saying it's merely unfortunate coincidence that I suffered the glitch whilst updating?
Kinda blows. Specially as I seem to be one of the minority that actually like this game, or at least enjoy it.
Ah well, guess I'll grind out to level 60, I've done everything else.

I'm sure its something to do with the way the game loads your profile. It seemed to happen to me when I manually tried to select my profile as opposed to letting the game load my profile automatically.
And I too was enjoying this game
