So I picked up the games magazine, Games.TM, and I saw that it had, what I believe is the first Aliens Colonial Marines review.
From what I read... it's a disapointing game, considering it comes from the same studio which gave us Borderlands and Brothers in Arms.
They gave it a 4 out of 10.
Here are some highlights of the review:
Many of Colonial Marines' flaws could have been excusable back in the early days of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but now, when every title is polished to excruciating level of quality, it just doesn't cut it
Graphically, it's one of the worst we've seen grace consoles in years. It certainly may have been acceptable in 2006, when the game was first conceived, but now it just looks embarrasing up against other titles coming out in the Q1 release window.
Colonial Marines does at time play with expanding the lore in a meaningful way but skirts over it almost immediately.
Even some returning voice actors voicing their digital characters can't save the train wreck of a narrative, and it certainly doesn't help to immerse you in the world when the lip-sincing doesn't even match up.
Without Cameron's guiding hand, the story never amounts to anything more than a vehicle to drive players from one disappointing corridor to the next.

Looks like Nintendo fans will have to look else where for a game that take "full" advantage of Wii U.

this was not a review of the Wii U version. This has been talked about on Gearbox's fourm for a couple days. No one has played the Wii U version yet.

because it obviously is not functional...it has an undetermined 2014 release now, which in gaming terms is an effective death sentence...

So looking at Metacritic you really begin to see the reviewers who get paid off by the publisher lol. The second highest review of this game out of 23 was a 65%. Suddenly EGM pops up with a 90%. How does 22 other critics review a game at 65 or less and one manage a 90.... Don't make it so obvious EGM.

The Wii-U version that the stupid video Review that someone posted is a complete farce, and is really an older Aliens vs Predator game for the PC that came out like 15+ years ago.
So, no, it WASN'T the Wii-U version.
And it was a real sick (stupid) joke to boot.

Which is relevant because it does show a few seconds of the usage of the touch-pad controller.

I actually thought the joke review was hilarious, well done with Apone and Hicks chuckling over the delay...
...but on point as was said, I is not likely the U version will be better than the PV version, regardless of what Randy Pithcford has said about it being the best console version...
...i will still look to buy it, likely not at 60 bucks though...
