Aliens started space horror...Dead space expanded on it, but neither games have ever been scary.

Dead Space has already set the bar for this kinda game, hopefully Aliens surpasses it.

@JustaskaNinJa12 Maybe they'll just tell us that the original alien spaceship that crushlanded on LV426 was quite further from Hadley's Hope location. If I recall right, the director's cut edition of Aliens mentions that the zone was quite far too in a deleted scene. I really can't think of anything else. You might wanna hold onto that now and cream your pants like i did with that trailer! :D

I have one MAJOR question I need answered before I cream my pants. A serious one I need everyone who reads this to help me with. Now if you love aliens like I do, then you know at the end of Aliens, Hadleys Hope was blown to kingdom come. So if thats the case then how is it these marines are able to go back to it? It should just be a crater in the ground?

OMG, that was chilling. Subtle and foreboding. I have been a lover of the Alien film series since "Alien". And I'm SO glad that they didn't cut this game from production. It was supposed to come out last year (?) but got caught up in the recession and I got so worried. Thank you, thank you, thank you for not giving up on this game. I didn't like the Aliens vs. Predator game, but THIS is all about the nuance and creep factor of the Alien films. That beeping scanner sound STILL sends chills through me. Yeah, baby... I can-not wait!

@gordos24 If you know the old Alien movies you will know when this takes place. After Alien 2 thay left LV 426 so this takes place someware after Alien 2 and befor Alien 3. And in Alien 3 the escape pods are ejected from the ship due to fire. But never explaind why. Now we might get to know why.

Please, oh please, oh please let this game be good. Alien is my favorite monster and is long overdue for a comeback. I mean being afraid to play in the dark type of comeback. AVP didn't scare me at all. It had so much untapped potential but just didn't tap into it. Colonial marines takes you back to the movie setting where the game play will feel right at home. Fingers are crossed for this one.

More in depth trailer will show what this game is about. Pretty cut scenes don't get me too excited anymore. Interested, yes. Cautious... Definitely.

This game needs to strike a balance between ambiance and action

Love Alien universe games, hopefully you get to play as both races, that would make for some awesome multiplayer. That's what makes AvP/ Aliens games fun, the races are so dramatically different that it actually makes them interesting to play as.

hm... im had thought this was dead. Looks interesting, but then so did AvP. Hopfully this will fair better

the nuclear reactor exploded at the end it doesnt mean the planet was destroyed or the colony completly vaporized. something would be left that colony looked like it was made from metal

I'm pretty sure the planet blew up at the end of Aliens?? But then again I haven't watched it in some time as it was a great film when I was 12 but watching it now annoys the hell out of me. James Cameron SUCKS as a director. He makes big budget B movies (apart from The Abyss which I concede is a great movie). Don't even get me started on Avatar! Ohhh looks so pretty in 3D. What about the plot? Ohhh looks so pretty in 3D.... TITANIC!!! Sorry going on an anti James Cameron tangent here :) Oh my god have you seen the directors cut of T2?? I have never laughed so much in all my life. Awful just awful!

Been waiting so long for this, praying it was still alive while there was no or very little news on it. Now they've got a trailer and I feel I can breathe a sigh of relief, Gearbox haven't abandoned it. I'm wondering, though, has the project been re-started yet again? All the older screenshots are gone from GS, with only one showing now.

@ eddie-j No the ps2 game wasn't the same. It was called Aliens US colonial marines and has nothing to do with this title. Not the same developer. This has been in development since 2006 with a series of bumps in the road. It's finally happening though!

It takes place between the second and runs alongside the events of the third film.

pretty sure the is suppose to be right smack in the middle of the first and second movie. Look like the crew was listed from the first movie and not the second but what do I know.

I'd like to know how they plan to explain how Hadley's Hope survived the 40 megaton, 30-mile-radius explosion from the atmospheric processor in "Aliens". /nerdism

This game better not disappoint me. And i also hope there is a campaign where can play as a alien, Cuz i reckon thats the funnest part if most alien games.

Im a long time fan of the movies. I hope they don't screw this one up.

Maybe we'll just have to overlook the discrepancies in the Aliens movie story, involving the thermo nuke and destruction of part of LV-426. I'd like the Space Jockey and alien egg carrying ship to somehow be involved in the games story, if possible. I always loved the mystery of the Space Jockey. H.R Gigers designs for it and the Alien creature were so ahead of their time. I'm a huge Alien(s) fan. I hope Gearbox does this right.

Oh man DO want! :shock: they totally captured the feel of the movie Aliens, love it!

This doesnt make any sense. NOTHING should be alive on LV426. The reactor to the plant exploded in a nuclear reaction. The whole planet should practically be engulfed in radiation. I dont know where they plan on going with this.

Please don't give us another generic game,Aliens deserve better...
