Alien: Isolation is a fantastic horror game that while does some of the horror game cliches, introduces new concepts. Plus, the setting of the game is fantastic and there's still has great science fiction elements within it. The downsides of the game are the crafting and saving process. Crafting becomes a necessity but if you're not careful you can be stuck if you didn't collect all the things you need or ran out. Saving is tedious in the game as there's no autosave feature and if you die you go back to your last save point which can be a long ways away. This is something that Dark Souls does, but this game isn't meant to be overly difficult, challenging, but not overly difficult. However, these flaws are eclipsed by the story and gameplay.
