I was thinking about buying this game when it was first released but didn't because of the negative reviews from my favorite sites. Then i found this game with 50% off on steam sale and decided to give it a try and my god was i surprise with this one.
For me this was a terrifying experience in a great way. It builds great tension and anticipation by using sound, atmosphere and music mix with an unpredictable A.I. Its just fantastic.
The story is OK, its not mind blowing, but it will keep you engaged. The game is long, and for me that is great. I know people complain about this, but i like to buy full games, not half done games and pay for DLC later on. But i guess in this time and age, that is just me.
Gameplay is fun and it requires patience, lots of patience. You need to take your time with this one. I do think they can add more to it, for variety purpose, but still for being a first try at a game that has struggle to be a survival horror, its very, very impressive.
This is the game Alien should have been from the beginning and what it should be in the future. Of course I welcome improvement but I got to say I'm very happy with the results. This guys got the right idea and if you are a fan of Alien or survival horror games, you should pick this one up and support it. Highly recommended.
