Having not played the original American McGee's Alice, I looked forward to playing this on console. However, I do not think this game has lived up to the critical praise of the first game. Gameplay is rather bland, despite the good concept and artwork.
Story - 6, nothing special, unlike the original book.
Gameplay - 6, rather generic action-adventure.
Visuals - 6, nice artwork, but graphically average in my opinion.
Music - 5, not memorable at all.
Controls - 8, works well with 360 controller.
Originality - 6, does not add much to it's predecessor.
Characters - 5, disappointing interpretations of classic characters.
Fun - 6, can still be a fun experience without thinking of either the original book or the first game.
Overall - 6.0
