A mix up of Sega's other popular game at the time, Shinobi and Sega's (at the time) mascot, this is generally accepted as the last good Alex The Kidd game. It's Genesis counterpart, as well as spinoff's, would not match the quality of Miracle Land or Shinobi World.
Like the original, you smash blocks by punching them, but this is more action oriented with less colorful environments. Many of the bosses and levels themselves are remakes of Shinobi's.
Like Shinobi, you pick up weapons and life extensions, throw starts, jump up walls e.t.c...
It's a pretty good mass up and their are worse ways to spend your time.
