Head of the Alan Wake developer and Max Payne creator talks about metal bands, the economy of Finland, and taking the red pill.
@EricJRW i don't remember asking your opinion

thumbs up..i really like this interview...
Top bloke!
"What's your favourite swear word?" What a great question! very interesting interview, with those non-game-related topics.
Very good interview. You can see that he is a good man, and very expressive person. Seems like a normal and cool guy. Always wanted to "meet" creators of the Max Payen :)
Excelent game! I already finish it :) Only for XBOX 360
He is awesome. He seems to be one of the most reasonable and nice people in the industry i know (from a consumer point of view. from interviews, stories etc). Other like molyneux are also nice, but nerdy and therefore a bit "crazy" when they talk about games and the things around them. He goes down in my book of cool people as the best guy from finnland :)
seems like a pretty average guy. the kids growing up on xbox360 will look at guys like this as a forefather of gaming. same with peter molyneux and the guy from epic lol... just thought of it while watchin this. thought id share
@frankblack789: I have seen this game in at least one gamer's profile over in the Xbox forums. If links in comments work, here they are: http://forums.xbox.com/32539973/ShowPost.aspx http://forums.xbox.com/32447916/ShowPost.aspx Getting games before release is nothing new.
@power_marks because microsoft doesnt own remedy they just published the game under there name and sony owns god of war and the reason god of war cant be on xbox 360 because like uncharted some games cant be on 360(the 360 cant handle some games)
@ I Hope this game release in pc .......But why people hoping this game release in ps3.....NO MICROSOFT GAME RELEASE IN PS3 and NO SONY GAME RELEASE IN 360........ I want to say if ALAN WAKE release in PS3 then God of war 3 must be in 360.. AND we all know this never be happen :)

the game is awesome, i just beat it! perfect 10! cheers to Remedy!
frankblack789 lol thats funny but theres actually a video review for it here , and i believe i saw it when i left home this morning on my bedroom ... somehow was released previously as well as lost planet two
@icekids If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you can download the Ad-Block Plus plug-in to block the Flash scripts that run those ad videos before the real one.
@irutehe that's funny because it hasn't even been released yet. interesting...not!
Played the game and it's average at best unfortunately. Too bad as I waited for this a long time and had high hopes.
Why is this on pc page ? is it comming out on the pc ? if no, wtf GS.....
@DeathSoul96 ...yes, I'm talking about the commercial bright falls, this commercial is horrible T_T
icekids, you meen the bright falls commercial? if yes, then i agree :D i hate it
OMGF......Alan Wake this commercial is very annoying Oo
I wish we had more game studios like Remedy here in Finland, we have a lot of well educated IT guys here and a few game studios also, but they haven't been able to break through to the international markets yet. We have lots of potential here...
Release for PC? maybe. There is a chance. Release for PS3? unfortunately we all know that most likely not gonna happen. It is like ATT giving rights to sell iphone to verizon yr ago.
What the fluffy is this doing on the PC section on gamespot!!! >: /
If you guys want Alan Wake on other platforms, you got to pester your Xbox 360-having pals to get this game! Only great sales will alleviate Microsoft's cautiousness about this new video game IP, and only after that, Microsoft would sanction its porting-over to other platforms. I am not so sure Microsoft would want a PS3 version though. Microsoft and Sony can barely even talk to each other.
SATANA PERKELE! Anyways, I did enjoy watching a finnish dude that had great english vocabulary :)
PC PC PC PC PC PC PC PC PC PC PC PC!
great interview, can't wait for the game.
Where is PC version
I really hope Remedy releases this game on PC and PS3 soo all users can play this game!
Nice interview hope Remedy will port the game to PC so we can play it too
He is 1 cool guy!Greate interview!
He's surprisingly comfortable with interviews. Most interviewees in 2010 either go "Uh...", "Eh..." like some other game developers or utter expletives and say things like "I like Lady Ga-ga."
Perkele is my favorite swear word too! I hope Remedy is gonna make Alan Wake to ps3
Be my Dad
play squash ftw and wow!! nice accent btw... wouldnt believe youre from finland
@reema sure about that? you know it started as a PC game and they switched it to 360 and canceled the PC version... I mean it's possible but you could be getting info mixed up
@ johny300 yeah you guys don't have awesome story based games no you don't have infamous uncharted 2 heavy rain yeah xbox deserves one good story based game
Great video
lol
DAMN wish I could speak Finnish as well as Matias speaks English :) . Really great interview.
Awesome interview
remedy i want alan wake on ps3 .
That is a great interview. Seems like a really great guy.
Apparently the Alan Wake PC port is already in the works. To be announced any day now. Remember how they said Dead Space 2 for the PC was not gonna happen? :) Can't wait to play this awesome game on my computer at full settings.
Based on his accent I would have thought he was straight-up American. Great interview.
14 minutes and never bored. Can't wait for Alan Wake!
Interesting interview. Haven't seen some of those questions, and they were so nicely open ended. Metal band lol I could totally see that, if he said country, then I would have really lost it.
At least there is some one fin who can speak grea english. I hope that remedy will make many many games.
Alan Wake
