It looked so good the first time I heard of this game years ago. Like the others said, they seem to ahve dumbed it down A LOT from their original promises, just like they did with Splinter Cell Conviction, which was a huge dissapointment for me.

So it's a 3rd person shooter but with lights instead of bullets? Unless it has a good story, probably won't be getting it. I'd much prefer an awesome story and atmosphere like the first bioshock had. It is fairly original though. I mean there's no space marines or soldiers or some crazy over-the-top story about trying to get back his crystal skull, so it has some promise i'd say.

This looks like A Silent Hill-y type game. The early appeal to it was that it was very open world. Now I think they had to dumb it down a lot from the original early promises, hopefully not dumbed down to the point of being just another by the numbers survival horror.

is it just me or does this game look like siren blood curse? i dont have an xbox but even if i did this wouldnt be in the top 5 list TOP 5 god of war 3 heavy rain gran turismo 5 bioshock 2 and mag yeaaaaaaaaa boii oh and possibly halo reach

As a fan of Silent Hill, I have high hopes for this one! :)

My personal thought is that this game is gona have a huge shadowing system which is good (Y) (: Hope the camera don't mess to much at the accion scenes :/

The game is open during the day but linear at night. This will blow Silent Hill out of the water although I don't think it's very far to compare the two aren't really the same (Alan Wake looks to have a heavy emphasis on combat and is faster paced).

Looks like they dumbed the game down a lot from what they originally promised. They promised an open world game. This looks more like a Silent Hill type game without much room for exploration. Fairly linear actually. They made us wait all this time for a Silent Hill clone? Even borrowed the flashlight is your friend motif.

I wonder if this is going to have the best plot line since SH2...

Awesome trailer. This game looks like everything that Max Payne 3 isn't. That's a good thing.
