Great and polished title and well worth playing!!

Right, where to start? is what i ask myself while sitting here and writing a review of the game i completed in around 3 days of on and off play on the xbox 360. I picked up the title pre-owned on the tip given to me a while back from a colleague who recommended the title.

Firstly, the graphics i felt are spot-on. The game is very film orientated, in the sense that it feels like your taking part in some sort of dark horror-type movie. The setting mostly occurs at night hence the need for a torch and accessories.

You are immediately brought up to speed with the controls via the first few tasks, which i vaguely recall as running away from some ghost/ghoul type creature. The controls are very intuitive and easy to get to grips with, any 360 fan should be at home with the controls. I feel that even newbies will be just at home with this game. The battle system is also very straightforward to get to grips with and is quite satisfying when you pass a given battle stage. Tactical thinking is also important to an extent. However, the game is linear in the sense that you are guided onto the next task which is handy rather than a fully free roaming environment where a walkthough is almost always referred to.

The story is based around Alan's wife and the circumstances for which she vanishes. Not going to spoil the story but it is definately compelling and kept me wanting to know more after each chapter. There are a total of 6 episodes which are 'beefy' in gameplay portions and a sense of accomplishment is felt once a episode has been completed.

The game offers many hours of quality gameplay and should definately be played by any 360 fans of all genres. Definately worth a purchase or a rental at the very worst! 9/10
