Frustrating, repetitive pile of goo
As an avid Stephen King fan i was looking forward to a brilliant story: check, they delivered, from what i have seen so far, but now i crashed my controller to the wall, when the developers of this game decided to throw in way to many enemies at me at the same time, so i kept dieing over and over again, not really making me feel like a bad ass killer, but instead a weak and lame ass frightened chicken who is basically and EPIC FAIL, forcing me to go to youtube to watch all the cutscenes so i can finish the (great, surely) story.
The graphics are very ok. The woods, the mountains are a character in their own right. Very vivid and believable.
The protagonist, however, looks like a wimp. A douchebag. A shmendrick. A guy that sells paper at The Office in Slough. No John Marston here. No Ezio. Nor a Garret. No no. No, they give us the following type to play with: a whiney, depressed, so called writer who handles a gun like he handles his pen: "oh dear i have a writers block, i am so pityfull, i have no idea's, nor do i have any idea HOW TO LOOK GOD DAMNED COOL, oooooooh i am so depressed, while looking like seinfeld on crack"
Then, they promised us free roaming and gave us... linearity. After a KAZILLION years of development they dropped the sand box thing and gave us the SAME BLOODY WOODS to run through, the SAME OLD effect of winds, waving trees and darkness to tell us: whooooooooooooooo now it's gonna get scary guys! Better watch out! Here come the shadows again.
And if you can beat our little scheme, we're just gonna throw in SOME MORE SAME BLOODY opponents at yah. Just up until the point that you are going to smash your controller to the wall in frustration, and forever end this nightmare.
This game is no fun, it's plain HORROR.
