I don't care what anyone says,Air warrior II was a solid combat sim.

I flew my heart out in Air warrior II,AND III.Yes,yes, the graphics look awfull by todays standards, but it wasn't bad from the pilots seat. The game was 2D.The monster 3D 4MB video card had just appeared on the market, and few had one anyway.Yes,the wings looked like they were drawn with colored pencil. The ground was basic with no grass or trees.Mountains were triangle peaks...but who cares, this game was about air combat, not sightseeing ! The explosions of your kills were horrible, even for 1998,aside from that,it was all a sim needed to be.AWII was a 'military simulator' in appearance. The gauges looked, and functioned well, heck,in 1998,the cockpit looked good to me.The physics were good too if my memory serves me.

The game supported 250 people dogfighting over a fairly large area.Plenty of opponents and space...not bad for 1998,heck,it was an MMO to us.

AWII's sequel,Air Warrior III supported 3D,but it was basically the same as it's predessor...but i'm not reviewing AWIII.There were trucks, tanks, and anit aircraft guns to fallback on if you were scared of heights. All vehicles could be crewed with friends.Five in the tank, two in the truck, etc.(I'm fairly sure both games had the vehicles...i KNOW AWIII did).

Don't go buy this game though,it's horrible by modern standards, and without opponents to fight,it's NO FUN.I still have my copy,if ya really want to try it,pay for shipping, and i'll mail it to ya !
Fly safe.
