for anyone who likes fighter jet games and just fun and easy to get into games this is the game for you. A pure classic.

Air Combat for the Playstation in my opinion is a great game especially for it's time. It had everything you could want from a game, good graphics, good gameplay, good sound, and well ok storyline being that wasn't really much story to it but didn't really matter much.

The story was that our country was being effectd by terrorist so a group fighter pilots have been called to take care of the problem and free our country from the terrorists. The missions have you blowing up communication towers, planes, escorting a plane, engaging in dogfights, and among other things. Some missions will allow you to hire back up and also give you an option to buy new planes with the money earned throughout the game.

The gameplay 9/10- for this game is great. Each of the planes available to you have different stats to them, some can move better but are weak, then some move as well but stronger and tougher. The only problem I had was using the expert control settings, but you can get used to them after putting some time into getting familar with the controls. Graphics8/10- are good for their time.there is some collision detection but it understanable and not really a ptroblem. Could be better though i think.

The sound8/10- is good too for its time but could have been better. Hearing the same song over and over again can get repetitive after a while.

Replay value9/10 is ok because the game is a blast to play through. Though the difficulty is very easy even on hard mode so that is a bit of a let down but the game itself is a blast.
