    Anyone know the probability's of manastones/enchanting stones failing?

    Lost some green crit stones earlier on 3rd manastone socketing on my weapon :<

    An when using enchanting stones the stone has to be higher than the level item you are enchanting for it to work right?

    Manastones, not very high, but I've had some bad luck once in a while.

    No, it can be any level. I've +ed things with stones much lower - Which, quite frankly, is probably better for your game wallet. I fail just as much with higher stones than I do with lower.

    from what i understand is: take the weapon lvl + the number of enchants on it. Get stones that are a couple above that and they should have a decent chance of working. Gotten two weapons to +7 using this technique

    Don't bother enchanting, it's a waste of time and money. You're better off just buying a newer weapon or piece of armor from the auction house or player store.

    I think generally it depends on the item color. For greens, I try to do +5 of the item's level. For other colors it's even higher. Definitely don't do the item level or lower.

    I also think +10 on a weapon is definitely worth it. Do armor depending on your class and if you kite.

    I use higher stones and I've never been able to get anything over +2. Heh. >.> Greens and blues.
    In fact, a blue armor I have seems to be downright impossible to +. I've used six stones, all higher than it, and they've all failed.

    In my opinion this mechanic is far too strict and should be eliminated. It's another great example of punishing players for the sake of it being "Omg dood, our MMO is harder and has more penalties for doing asinine things, thereby making it (and us by proxy) EFFING LEET." Bitter much?

    ^ Lol. Sounds like someone should be asking you, "Bitter much?"

    This isn't the first MMO that had a system in which upgrading weapons can fail. Personally I'd think it would be stupid if everyone had +Max weapons and armor, since you want a world where nothing ever fails and everything is guaranteed.

    take a item thats level 10 and use level 15+ stones on it for a high chance of it working, once it gets to +5 start using 20+ stones on it.
