This game was well beyond it's time when I first played it. It's a jewel that still outshines many games I play today...

There needs to be more games like this nowadays. I don't know if it's the simplicity of it or what, that made this game so enjoyable. But many games now, I believe, can't even hold a candle to it. It truly was in a league of it's own.

If you like strategy rpg, then this title is well worth checking out. Though, there isn't much I can say negatively about Age of Wonders, there were/are some things that could have made the game even more enjoyable. Such as better character development, more equipment upgrade options, and even more so... it could have been longer. Then again, AoW was made in the mid-90s or so, and the technology available to those developers are not what they are today. Also, you are hearing this from a fan of this type of game, and I'm a very harsh critic. I believe my review of this game is very legit and honest.

My original copy of this game was stolen long ago. So recently, I went out and purchased another one. And just as I expected to feel after playing it again after all these years...
