This game's campaign mode is amazing. There are tons of missions to do, alot of strategy is needed to complete them and is told very well. Since this game is the titans expansion, there is the titans campaign and aom campaign. You start off with the aom campaign and move onto the titan campaign. The way the campaign's story unfolds is amazing in every way.
The campaign mode will also take awhile to beat, so you will be on it for awhile.
The single player mode is also amazing. You can choose from four different groups. The groups are the atlanteans, norse, greek and egyptian. There are three minor gods you can choose from from each major god group. There are a total of four modes, supremacy, conquest, deathmatch and lightning. Each mode will have you thinking about what will you do and what will happend. You can customize the number of players in a match. Up to 12 players can be in a match. There are also god powers in this game. God powers are special abilites given to you by advancing through the ages. Each group has their own god powers. God powers really help even the playing field. A new addition to age of mythology are titans. Titans are huge monsters that are trained from titan gates. The titans have massive attack points and alot of life. They're perfect for destroying a city. You only get one titan per match, so use it whenever you have to
You can also choose what map to play on, which is a good idea. The maps are immerse and all are very different. You can also choose if you want your map size to be normal or large.
You can also choose what level of difficulty the computers will be. So, you can choose the perfect difficulty to have a fun game.
The map editor is very impresive. Every unit in the game is available for use in the map editor. In map editor, you create your own original map with the textures, units and cinematics that the game has. There are alot of possibilies for maps with the content the map editor gives you. You may also use your created maps online.
The online is surprisingly smooth. You create an account and log on. The login time is very fast. There is barely any lag online, which makes your game much more enjoyable. You can go onto the chat and chat with other players online. In chat, you can add friends, or start a game with a few people. The online is a great addition to age of mythology.
What sets this RTS apart from others is that its very original. This game is about greek mythology. Each myth unit is based on mythical monsters. The online play is amazing and very enjoyable. Any PC user should go buy this game right away. It's definitely the best RTS game ever made.
