I thought they were focusing too much on the graphics and not enough on the game play. I was wrong!
Boy was I worrying about nothing. First day I got it, I couldn't stop playing for hours because of it's addictiveness. It does a stupendous job of combining amazing graphics with great game play. All of the units and races are well thought out and well balanced between each other.
I even thought it was worth the fifty or sixty (or whatever it was) bucks to buy it when it first came out. I think that this would be a great game for fans of the series, and would even recommend it to RTS players new to the series. It stands quite well on it's own.
