It's a decent enough first person shooter, but some features are missing and others are not as good as they could be.

I liked the fact that you are limited to only two weapons. Carrying around an arsenal of 8 different hand weapons is good fun, but hardly a realistic feature of similar games. However, there is very little difference in the characteristics of the weapons, all the rifles are pretty similar and the SMG are virtually indistinguishable in terms of their firing characteristics. The weapons, especially the SMG are startlingly accurate, especially at long range, which is useful, but not very realistic.
Some of the AI is quite clever, but there are times when it all goes Pete Tongue. Your fighting comrades often move right across your firing line, just as you are in the process of emptying a 32 round magazine in the general direction of the 'krauts'. Generally the AI works well along tunnels, trenches and other narrow areas but can fall apart if you end up in any sort of space with your sqaud and the 'krauts' all at close quarters.
The missions are cleverly conceived and interesting enough to playout. There is just not enough of them to make this a good value game, especially if you are not going to play multiplayer games.
It would have been more engaging to have some sort of stats or ranking based on performance during each mission too. Just ploughing through the missions without any sense of whether you had done well or not or any real sense of upgrading abilities or weapons was a little disappointing.
Overall definitely worth buying if you are fan of this genre, but there are better examples out there.
