Given its age its still fun to play, its very cheap and really you can blow a whole weekend on this without even trying.

If you are really keen building you own map is the only way to go. Its great to play with real old school stuff gives you some idea of how hard it would have been at the time in history.

Its also a good to pick up every now and then, you can play it for a day or so they leave it for 6 months only to find it easy to pick up again and play till your heats content.

  Age of Empires was great. Rise of Rome was fun and necessary. Now you get both.
