Conan storms into battle once again.. but this time he seems to be stronger than ever!
AoC seemed to have a rough start as far as i know, though i can't say anything about that cuz i started playing the game 2 months ago and since the first day, this game was simply amazing. I'll set 3 critic points now, Graphics, Sound & Gameplay and will rate each separately.
Graphics: 9.5
Age of Conan is definetly the MMO with the best graphics, especially in DirectX 10, the lighting effect are gorgeous. U'll need a hell of a machine to run it on highest settings though, but even on lowered down settings the game looks still beautiful. So here in the category graphics i'd say the only critic point is the high system requirements.
Sound: 9.0
The tune in this game is simply great and totally fits to its beautiful world, but don't worry, as soon as u are engaged in combat, the battle drums join u and make every battle an epic adventure!
Gameplay: 8.5
The combat system is something new & fresh to the world of MMO's and is far more interesting than all the others. Doing combos is really great and finishing your opponent off with a fantastic looking fatality is even better! The PvP content got some nice features in it also, the most known are Guild Sieges, here u can fight guild vs guild, every guild has its own guild city which can be raided by other guilds, but there are also PvP Mini Games & Battlegrounds. PvE content ain't something special, its kind of the same as in other MMO's, killing bosses, getting loot and so on (but killing a giant dragon never gets odd ^^ especially not in such beautiful graphics). The critic points here are the uninteresting crafting skills & some class balance issues (which are believed to get fixed with the next patches)
