Real time stragedy with boats on a checker board, pretty boring.

This game sounded like a good concept when I heard it was coming out, however when I bought the game and jumped into the gamplay I as rather dissapointed. The battlefield has these chess like boards that make the game feel more like a boat inspired checkers game then anything else. The basic concept is you have to take over various island ports away from other pirates and all you have is your boat and upgrades which can be found throughout the board. The computer AI is pretty good but each level the boss has a weakness which can be found out fairly simple and exploited. The gameplay is fun and entertaining, however after afew times of playing the same capture mission over and over again it becomes uninspired. The games graphics are fairly up to parr with whaexpect from PSN exclusive games. The music is true to the games style and the best part of the game. Overall you have a solid 15 hours of gameplay if you can last that long, and a game that should be played first before bought, which may b hard since Sony wa smart enough not to put out a demo of this one.
Overall: Good PSN expected graphics, easy and fairly boring gamplay, the best part of the game is the music. Play first before committing to it.
