Tom Mc Shea and Dr. Tokaj escape a foreboding fallout shelter in this video review for Afterfall: Insanity.
lol one of the worst games I ever played... Whoever was in charge of the animations needs to be fired.. BAd voice actors and bad controls make it feels like this game wasnt finished
It actually looks pretty cool. Kinda like a mixture between Fallout 3 and Dead Space. Tom McGay just hates on every game.
plz
It doesn't look that bad at all...
Looks like Fallout. Pretty cool.
Hmm, looks like something I might check out. It only seems to be on Gamersgate though, and I've never used them. Maybe it'll be on Steam at some point?
I saw what a game it could've been. Maybe the next game would exceed all our expectations. It should.
@ZombieKohhi Who ever claimed that internet forum comments are in anyway professional or need to be? Users don't abide by any rules, why do we always need to take the high road? Besides, I don't see any lashing, just some more information backing up Tom and his playtime.
@Kevin-V-- Someone critiques a colleague's review and you lash out at them? Very professional sir.
GS promised "brief nudity". Didn't see any.
i think it should get more than a 6 i really enjoyed it thought it was fun and really immersive
Looks like Dead Space meets fallout. Looks graphically well done along with creepy atmosphere. Sad That it couldn't deliver.
Interesting premise, which makes it all the more sad that it's marred by the gameplay.
Aliens.
@TomMcShea - Thanks for the info.
@Kevin-V Maybe, but a critics review is hardly the word of god either. I played plenty of games that got horrible reviews, but i loved em. Maybe i'll think it sucks too once I play it, but i'm still gonna give it a try
i gree with Kevin
@mischiefmeerkat -- Seriously? This game is NO Dead Space. Our jobs are to critique games. This game is not in the same league as the games you mentioned. I am glad you have decided that this game should get a higher score based on you never having played it. Tom played it to completion and I have played a chunk. It is not nearly as good as the games you mentioned; we are not going to pretend otherwise just to appease someone on the Internet who decided it looks better because he saw footage of the game..
As a first project of this studio its not that bad - but it could be way better with some changes and a little more work - shame.. BTW Kto z Polski kutas w góre!
I used to like Tom´s reviews, but then he took an arrow in the knee
could've been much more better
not bad, reminds on dead space. but lag in movement, no man, no
Wasn't this game supposed to only be a dollar anyway?
This game fails in the combat system,I mean is not a bad game but fails in something so important that you can't let it pass even if you want :( Everything else is good the music is very well done, listen to the trailers music if you want and you will know what I'm talking about, and the voice acting is not bad at least for me is not, the graphics are awesome to me. Is a shame cause this could really help this Indie develop team to make more games but this doesn't help :( BTW the control system is fine for me what is bad is the combat overall is just bad, is rough, boring and don't have dynamic at all, you just don't want to fight anyone cause is not fun to do it.
Seems like Tom didnt get to review a great game in quite a while
@Tidal_Abyss, I played through most of the game using KB+M controls, though I tried an Xbox 360 controller for an hour or two as well. It really comes down to preference. Both have the same get-stuck-on-the-enviroment quirks and delayed response.
it's good game but it have some problems in gameplay in character moves controlling i was want to bought it but after watching this video, i don't think so i bought shaun white skateboard (replaced it with afterfall)
the storyline sounds intriguing... it would be nice if they were able to polish off some of the control issues, when they come out with it on console, cause it still looks promising to me...
I love how people come and write a comment and say gs is biased and is just hating the game because they don't like the type of game. Get a grip there game critics thats there job they criticise games they look for the bad and the good points in games and in this review i 100% agree with gamespot the control's look clunky, the game play frankly dosent really look that good, the story looks good but bad voice acting just completely wastes the story it self so in my opinion this is a 6 or a 7 at the most gamespot got this one to a t.
How were PC controls with m/kb versus console/gamepads? -or do you know?
Shame it has a lot of issues, otherwise I would have been interested in this post-apocalyptic survival horror game, a genre which needs more imo
I really don't care about bad voice acting. I can deal with that. But it really looks like the controls totally killed this game. I'm thinking maybe an 8 if it had (not excellent, just) decent controls.
it makes me thought of the latest Alone In The Dark; loved the visuals, loved the story, loved the creativity, hated the controls.
I think this reviewer might just be biased against this type of genre. He's tearing apart almost every aspect of the game, but titles that do mostly the same (Silent hill, Dead space) got rave reviews. This one looks fine to me, i'd play it
Shame. Sounds like it really could have been something.
Isnt this the game that they use to try raise 10 million dollars or something?
looks like a dead space ripoff. play that game instead
Thank to posting a review of a game I can't purchase yet. No, really... I was expecting this game from the moment I saw the trailer. Reviews of this site is the ones I trust most.
