Advent Rising User Review
Despite the many short comings in Advent Rising, the game is still very fun. The fantastic music is enough to buy this.

Overview: Advent Rising is a very unique game. It's rich storyline about these remaining humans fighting for survival and justice. It's got a few story lines that alter the game and really make it fun.
Graphics: Gross! The graphics in this game aren't great. It's up to Xbox standards, but lacks a lot of polish! At times physics make look off having enemies go through objects. In certain cutscenes the game looks phenominal and blows you away. In other cutscenes, (especially the ones where there is an entire destruction of cities) the game looks ugly with objects floating through others and the same...10 character models running in fear. Acceptable, but not quite good enough.
Sound: The sound in this game is pretty good. Every weapon in the game has it's own unique sound. The alien weapons sound especially cool. The powers that Gideon has also sound very cool. The Surge sound is very cool. Also when you slow down time, you get this awesome sounding filter.
Voices: The voices in Advent Rising are also very great. No voice overs sound like they are unprofessional. Gideon doesn't sound like this confident, strong hero, but that's a good thing! Because Gideon was thrusted with this responsibility, it fits well.
Music: The music of Advent Rising is without a doubt... the BEST SOUNDTRACK OF ANY VIDEO GAME! It's fantastic. It has this movie-like tone to it and really fits well. From the action music to this sad emotional music, everything fits well. I can't say anything else about it. It's that good.
Gameplay: The gameplay of Advent Rising is difficult to rate because it's great if you look on the positives. All the vechiles in this game have their own unique feel and control well after a little practice. The button layout is good too! With many powers and weapons at your disposal, you never feel forced to use on power. Although the gameplay does feel alittle unbalanced. At times the AI can be deadaim or other times they can't even hit you.
Basically this game is good for those who like to look on the more positive sides of games. If your an action/sci-fi fan then you'll enjoy this game.
