Advent Rising got a lot of beef with gamers because of the graphics, and the thing that was going on in X-box Live. It was supposed to be a contest to find glyphs so that people could win money, but it was already set up in the game without the online capability. AR is still a great game overall because of the graphics of the humans, I've never seen anything like it. The other fact was the story, although some people said it was terrible and not put together well.

In Advent Rising you play as a character named Gideon, the hero of the game who has to make the toughest and most difficult decision in his life. Then the person you end up saving dies anyway because they drowned to death. Still to this fact, no one has ever seen a game like advent rising making people susceptible about the power of being human. The game itself was beautiful and I hope they make a sequel to it, because overall it wasn't a bad game, it just had a lot of glitches.

If you like sci-fi action and ever wonder about things that are in the universe, then Advent Rising is the game for you.
