This is a really great game.

Ace Combat Zero takes place 15 years before the events of Ace Combat 5. It tells of how the war which took place in Ace Combat 5 came to be. This game puts you in the role of a mercenary hired to defend a small country which borders Belka, the enemy. You will play through 18 action packed missions. You will have the option of buying aircrafts, and special weapons as well. The gameplay itself is similar to AC5. But it is different in that there are neutral targets, targets which won't attack you, and there are three Ace types: Mercenary, Soldier, and Knight. You are given each rating for your actions on each missions. A Mercenary destroys everything, but gets the most money. A Soldier destroys some neutral targets and spare the rest. A Knight spares all neutral targets, and only focuses on the necessary targets. You'll unlock different planes and colors as you should down enemy aces. The story is long and required several replays for unlockables. After you're done with that, there's split screen multiplayer, which offers a few hours of fun with friends. All in all, Ace Combat Zero is an excellent game that shouldn't be missed for those who are fans of the series or are just looking for a fun flight simulator game.
