Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception User Review
- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 40 to 100 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Highly addictive"
One of the most popular plane simulations on PSP makes a good barrel roll.
Having Impressive graphics and frame rates considering its fast phased combat action. Ace Combat X also successfully produced realistic sound effects specifically on missile firing, super sonic effects and radio transmissions, with un-rattled voice dubbings on mission briefings and cinematics. Although it could use a wider cinematic approach (excluding their intro movie) like animated dog fights in-between missions.
Despite of the games' short campaign, it has challenging and unique missions in different difficulties. Although some of the AI planes and ground troops needs more combat upgrade.
There are two different control types to choose from, but if you are uptight with defensive maneuvers you will have some difficulty in the expert controls.
Ace Combat X Skies of Deception also has tons of unlockables. Planes, equipments, weapons and colors are some of them. They are also customizable before every mission.
Finally to complete the gaming experience, it also has a great multiplayer function specially for 3 or more people. Wide variety of scenarios and stages to pawn your opponents.
