Okay in the first installment of Ace Combat for PSP, there is a totally new world and story. Diego Navarro, leader of the Leasath forces, wins the civil war in his country then attacks Leasaths southern neighbor, Aurelia. The Leasath attack goes exactly to plan , and all but one Aurelian airbase is destroyed, due to the battle hardened Leasath ground forces and the Gleiphner, a giant aircraft that can turn completely invisible, fire Anti-Air missles, Air-to-Ground missles, and a giant super weapon called a Shock Cannon. Aurelia does have two advantages over leasath, a better navy and the best pilot in the world, you Now onto the gameplay. The game plays just like all the other games, lock-on, shoot, or get close enough to use cannon (Which has infinite ammo in Easy, and Normal)The mission design is pretty new (I've only played 4 on PS2) not much scoring points as it is protecting ground force and destroying targets. (the missions are fun but I don't want to spoil it for other players.) With the made up planes you can buy parts and upgrade. But their are 30+ real planes (includeing the Swedish Viggen and Gripen, Russian Su-27 and Mig-21, and US F-35 and F-22) I've played through two campaigns and I've nowhere near unlocking everything for purchase.
