Truely great
The story provides a great background for whats taking place in the sky. The ability to buy new weapons for your planes is also a nice addition. The versus is a little lacking with only a few levels being two player dog fights while the others are more along the lines of point scoring missions not head to head. However that does not diminish the overall replay of this game.
The soundtrack to this game is amazing. original music is always always a plus. The sound effects are also great everything including the explosions the crashing the sound of missiles whizzing by, beautiful all of it.
The single player mission variety is also nice. Some levels you'll be escorting damaged aircraft, and others youll have to fight famous ace squadrons(only famous in game of course but still sweet.) Or maybe you'll just need to take out some strategic ground targets either way its a blast.
The controls are also flawless and put you right in the middle of the action whether your rolling out of a dogfight or breaking from pursuing missiles. The controls for this game should not scare anyone away from picking it up.
This game is all around an awesome experience.
