Run-of-the-mill football sim.

User Rating: 6 | J.League Soccer: Prime Goal 3 SNES
"90 Minutes: European Prime Goal" is a football game as you may have guessed. It had a European release and a Japanese release under a different name (J-League Soccer Prime Goal 3). Despite being developed by Namco, the game is strikingly average. Your players run up and down a field of green taking shots at the computer's goal, and that's it. I'm not sure what else I can say about this. The graphics are standard for the time and the sound is questionable (There is some amount of speech in the game, but it is quite hard to understand). There are a few problems in that the computer usually scores the same way each and every time so once you learn to counter that then they find it very hard to score. Also if you can score a goal then the ball find its way into your goalkeeper's hands then you can just hold it until the time runs out for an easy win. The controls are standard fare for a football game: when you have the ball one button passes, one button shoots, and one crosses it in. When you don't have the ball they are a range of tackles and a means to select certain players.

Overview
Graphics - Average at best
Sound - Undecipherable speech and humourous 'crowd chanting'
Gameplay - Just like most other football games. Not much single player value.
Lastability - Depends if you enjoy it or not. You can play a friendly, a tournament and perhaps a league.
