A great game for a forgotten youth

If you, like me, had the pleasure of being raised on Sony products you may of played a game called 40 Winks. Now I'm going to review this in two perspectives: a child and an adult.

Child Me
When I saw this game at my friends the box art got me interested in a flash. Then looking at the back of the box and finding out I could be a ninja and jester? Yes please. So we took it in turns, level by level. The nightmare level had a spooky feel to it with the creepy clock man who helps you, the horrible witch. This was just the first stage! Getting all the Winks took some time but we got it done. It was great, but I'll rather play Spyro or Crash.

Adult Me
The games setting like the water stages and the horror stages are nice and cartoony, perfect for your kids to play and not scary enough to scar them. The story is very easy to understand the bad guy and his side kick doesn't want anyone having sweet dreams so they kidnap all 40 Winks and it's up to either Ruff or Tumble to save them by turning into jesters, cave men, ninjas and the likes. The controls aren't as nice as Crash but they're easy enough to use. Overall this game is good but intended for a youth long gone. So only get this for the nostalgia, as your kids have their own generation to enjoy.
