3D Dot Game Heroes has been called a game reminiscent of the old days of "Legend of Zelda" and I would have to agree. I love the old school feel and the 3D element is Sony's way of putting their twist on the RPG. The storyline is typically like any other, save the land from peril by collecting so and so objects. In the case of 3D Dot, your first mission is to collect six orbs spread throughout the kingdom, located deep within some type of temple, while fighting off enemies along the way. I like the graphics but can't stand the load time to traverse from one area to the next. The fact that your sitting there staring at a blank black screen for roughly 5 seconds each time, can get on your nerves. Also the visual layout of the objects can obscure your view when trying to fight off the enemies. If your not careful going around corners you'll definitely run into a surprise attack from an enemy, so attack first and ask questions later. Despite all of that, I still enjoy playing the game and look forward to leveling up to kick some 3D Dot butt. My suggestion is if you like old school Zelda and looking to reprise those days of old then definitely take this game for a spin.
